Reach Out Community Center (ROCC) a not for profit (NFP), will be opening a community center in the South Lawndale neighborhood on the west side of Chicago. ROCC will be free to youth ages 7 to 17 of all ethnic backgrounds from low income families. The center will offer a variety of life skill courses that these youths would otherwise not have the opportunity to experience. The programs will include music, theatre, dance, art, crafts, history, writing/journalism, computer training, photography, cooking, gardening and martial arts. The building has been purchased and plans are underway to renovate the 17,000 sq ft. gutted building. The renovations are estimated at approximately $950,000.00. Reach Out Community Center needs your assistance in making this dream become a reality in laying the foundation for the citizens of tomorrow by helping the youth of today.
