Why should I help?
Renovation grants are the most difficult grants to win. We NEED this grant to get started
renovation on our 17,000 sq. ft. building... One grant opens the door to others; so please take two minutes
out of your day everyday in April the 1st-30th and cast your vote for Reach Out on the Pepsi refresh site!
You make the difference & will help us get our start to bring important programs to the
local youth of the Chicago area! Reach Out Community Center will give youth a alternative to gang life; and will help
the youth develop important life skills.
What will Reach out Community Center N.F.P. do again?
Reach Out will offer free programs for Chicago's youth ages 7year-17 years. The center is located in South
Lawndale/ little village neighborhood of Chicago. Reach will offer programs that will assist the youth in
obtaining life skills not just homework help... Basically there will be two programs running simultaneously
after school program & classes..After school program will be a combination of everything offered at Reach Out
in shorter increments 20 min, and if a youth has interest in something more they sign up for classes which will be
aprox. 1 hour... We want the youth to have a well rounded access to many skills. Basically everything
will be interconnected, and the youth will learn the skill 180 degrees! Some of the programs we will be offering
include the following programs: cooking, gardening, art, drawling, ceramics, photography, music, theater, history local
& other, book clubs, writing, newspaper, woodworking, and more!
